go to your midi section on your mpc "3000" look for a midi beatclock option plug your midi output of your protools in to your midi input 1 or 2 of your mpc then type the tempo of your sequence in protools record enable your track make sure to check the midi section of your protools to make it is reading your midi signal and enable your midi beatclock in protools also ...
if you dont use protools yet you should go out and buy a digi 001 or a digi 002 to get started

i like to sample my drum sounds from live drum kits and then tweak them in protools and add more claps snares etc. to my mix also if you are really trying to get that low end on your kicks i will discuss more this week ..
